President’s Message

Dear EFN Members and Colleagues,

It is now almost 100 days ago I was elected as EFN president. I knew that it would be a challenging time to be president in. Looking back at these 100 days we have together succeeded in continuing having focus on the most important challenges, so we use both the political as well as the administrative resources in the best way.

We will also in the future be challenged by a lot of initiatives from EU: We will face a new directive cross-boarder healthcare, and perhaps a new initiative on working time.

Within EFN we have decided to be part in the EUNetPaS project about patient safety. I will therefore thank the organisations that have expressed will to support a secondment at the EFN office, and strongly prompt other NNA’s to support this opportunity to have a secondment at the office to tend this project.

Lastly, I send you all the best wishes for a peaceful Christmas and a good new year.

                                               Grete Christensen

                                                    EFN President

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE EFN BRUSSELS OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED FROM 15 DECEMBER 2007 UNTIL 3 JANUARY 2008.
